No one ever said that that back alley was a safe route home. In fact, it was never said that the back alley was the safe route home, and at the rate people were kicking the bucket in Loserville, many people doubted it ever would. What with its clean dirty, brightly illuminated dark, steets, on any other day, it would have been Leanne's last resort, but today wasn't just 'any other day.' There was not a single day in the girls life that was just like 'any other day.' She doubted people had to go through half the things she went through. Sure there were worse things that could happen than learning that your older, much stronger, well accomplished, brother had murdered a guy, left a suicide note, than killed himself leaving two sisters and mess of parents to fend for themselves, but that was about as bad as it seemed to get for the blonde haired brown eyes beauty Leanne Fisher...At least for now.
Though their were other safer, more clean and illuminated routes back to the Fisher house, this was the fastest. Having left the graveyard on a silent note, walking down the alley would be no different. As her feet hit the black pavement leading down one of the side streets, the senior did so without looking back. She would need a strong piece of mind if she was going to make it home in one piece. With her eyes peeled for any movement, or shadows, and her ears on gaurd for any unusal sounds, Leanne picked up her pace, as she headed down the darkened street.
To say the least, the innocent looking blonde, surprisingly...Was a risk taker. You had to be somewhat of one to take the back route home at midnight. Being an eastsider never helped matters much either. Anyone with loads of money was the perfect target for that of westsiders or any other threatening beings. The girl had made it to the graveyard in one piece, despite the few cuts on her hands from tripping over Marquez who had also been at her brothers gravesite, but there was no telling what could happen on the way back.
Hood pulled over her head, she continued down the concrete padded road. As she came to a crossroads, one leading to the east, one to the west and another to the south, Leanne took the obvious route and headed to the east. Though growing closer to her home with every footstep, it didn't make it any safer, this much was...
Bam!
Almost as soon as a crash was heard, Leanne's heart stopped, followed by her feet. It was in human nature to come to a stop when you heard something as loud as that, wasnt it? Its nothing...Just a trash can being blown around. She thought...She hoped. As she closed her eyes for an instant, taking a deep breath, then letting it out. After a moments hesitation, she reopened her eyes only to find a dark figure standing in front of her.
No one ever said the back alley was a safe route home...
